About TALE
The Association for Linguistic Evidence (TALE) is a professional organization for researcher-practitioners, linguistic data technologists, law enforcement and the legal community. TALE was initiated by Carole E. Chaski, PhD and several of her colleagues in 2009, in recognition that handling linguistic evidence will become more and more important to the judicial system. This blog, TellingTALE, is a place where TALE members and invited contributors can discuss the future of linguistic evidence, admissibility, standards, interesting cases, new rulings, innovative linguistic methods and most importantly, validation testing. For information on joining TALE, visit the Institute for Linguistic Evidence the nonprofit research organization which, together with ALIAS Technology LLC, sponsors TALE.
